'OakenSummit' started with an ambitious goal: introducing authentic Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Rossi family in 1985, our small, familial pizzeria originated with time-honored recipes passed through generations.
Our founder, Marco Rossi, mastered the craft of pizza-making on her journeys across Italy, particularly from expert pizza chefs in Naples, the cradle of pizza. When she came back to the UK, her aim was to convey the essence of real Italian pizza, sticking to traditional practices and selecting only top-notch ingredients.
What started as a humble pizzeria with just 12 seats has expanded into a cherished community staple. Despite our growth, our dedication to the craft and quality has remained firm. We still prioritize old-school, wood-fired ovens, create our dough from scratch daily, and go to great lengths for premium ingredients.
'OakenSummit' continues under the care of the Rossi family's second generation, steering a team filled with the same fervor as before. Some modern upgrades have been adopted, but at our core, we're unwavering in our mission to serve up delectable, genuine pizza that unites people.
